In September n-butanol was lifted by propylene cost and downstream plasticizer/butyl-acrylate demand, East China prices moving from about 7,930 to 8,860 RMB/t — a weekly gain of about 12% and roughly +49% YoY.
Short term firm; medium term, if propylene retreats and new capacity is released, prices may ease from highs. Lock volumes as needed and watch timing.
